Tarkyn_24 is a current player for the East Side Hawks. For the majority of his career, he has worn the number 24, with brief stints in 12 and 13 at various stages in his time as a player and former captain of the Mount Buller Demons.
Mount Buller DemonsEdit
Tarkyn_24, referred to the competition by The Reaper, was recruited to the Mount Buller Demons at the start of Season 07, after initially agreeing to terms with the West Coast Wonders. The Wonders' hold on Tarkyn lapsed as list lodgement approached and the Demons were stuck with only 18 listed players. Tarkyn made his debut in Round 1 of Season 07, starting on the interchange and finishing with 8 disposals across half back in a slim 5-point loss to the Dragons. The debut season continued without much controversy until Mount Buller's return match against the Dragons, in which the Demons went down by 12 points. Tarkyn picked up 24 disposals and best on ground honours in a match that he should have been suspended for. Mount Buller went on to contest the finals that season, bowing out again in a controversial manner after a match against the East Side Hawks was replayed, and the result subsequently overturned. The Demons went down by 3 points in their 23rd match of the season, with Tarkyn amassing 14 touches in a quiet game on the wing.
After an impressive debut season, Tarkyn was made captain of Mount Buller for Season 08. The new captain faced a hitch when the newly formed Southern Dragons smashed the Demons by 67 points in Round 1, in a game mostly notable for ClarkeM's debut under the guise of ScottyD and sausageroll's 37 disposal, 6 goal effort. The Demons were set for a roller-coaster year, winning four on the trot mid-season but looking otherwise unconvincing, before scraping into the finals with a thrilling last round 1-point win over the West Coast Wonders. In perhaps the most important performance of his career, Tarkyn picked up 35 disposals and 4 goals in the ruck, and the Demons scraped into the finals due to a comedy of late season simulation errors. However, the brief revival was shortlived as the Demons fell out of the finals race two weeks later with a 7-point semi final loss to the Gumbies.
